ATLANTA XAY – Venus

“Venus” is ATLANTA XAY’s first release in three years. The EP takes listeners on a journey through the trials and tribulations of a relationship between two young, lustful lovers and the highs and lows of the affair. The production on the EP, mostly handled by Monte Booker, David Urresta and Xay himself, feels like the project’s namesake.

From the surreal sounds of what seems like a space station’s control room on the intro track “Frequency”, to the heartfelt ode to his beloved “Blonde”, to the plead for honesty and separation on the guitar driven “Thorns” which features Xay’s best friend and frequent collaborator, Zaia. Venus is an intergalactic trip to another dimension that listeners can be more than happy they experienced.
