This week, Florida-based rapper, singer and songwriter BlackCity Vick released his brand new single “Panaramic Thoughts” along with the official music video. He premiered the song last month during SXSW at shows opening for Lil Uzi Vert and Boosie Bad Azz. The song caught the attention of Hoodrich affiliate DJ MLK who hasn’t stopped playing the song since hearing it at an event hosted by Grand Hustle during SXSW.
“It’s a dope all around great street record that can be played in any club and in any city because it’s not too graphic or dark,” says DJ MLK, an Atlanta record breaker and TI’s tour DJ.
Despite the song’s lavish name, the song is anything but. The gritty street record is a solemn and sobering reminder of the sacrifices he has made and obstacles he has overcome in his lifetime. The impactful words are over a melodic piano infused trap beat.
The new single is off his upcoming Wake Up Dreaming mixtape which will be released in May. BlackCity Vick has also been in the studio recording new records with Dallas rapper and Epic recording artist Mo3 and Hustle Gang artist Yung Booke. Collaborations are also on the way with platinum producer Swede of 808 Mafia, Atlanta platinum producer Mr. Hanky and up and coming producer Audioh Who
