It’s been a while since we’ve heard a complete project from Slim 400 and he came through recently, dropping his brand new “FoeReaLA” project with tons of support from capable rappers. The YG-associate enlists help from a flurry of guests including Snoop Dogg, Dave East, The Game, Casanova, Dae Dae and many others. Spitting over recognizably West Coast style beats, Slim 400 does his thing with the mixtape sounding hard upon an initial listen. Slim 400 was born in Frankfurt, Germany but moved to Compton, CA at the young age of 1 where he grew up the remainder of his childhood. Listening to the funky sounds of the Compton city legend DJ Quik, Slim was inspired to pick up a pen and pad. Rhyming and producing came easy to him, and it wasn’t before long that he gained the likes of rapper YG. From there, he did collaborations that moved him into the public eye and gained his music the great deal of recognition it deserved. His highly anticipated album “FoeReaLA” dropped May 21st worldwide.
