Hailing from Silver Spring, MD, MEDALLION drops his latest offering titled “MURCI.” The Tails-produced record was penned after a conversation with his old girl. The song’s narrative finds MEDALLION recalling his old ladylove, an Insta-famous girl–hosting parties, promoting detox teas, and shouting out your favorite IG boutiques. She revealed to MEDALLION that she had big dreams of moving to Los Angeles, and that she’d do whatever it took to do so. The move for her meant a yearning more money, faster cars, and the lifestyle that comes with it.
Trenched in ill-rooted feelings about the move at first, “Murci” serves as MEDALLION’s liberation. Finding that he and his old girl have more in common than he realized, the record is a proclamation of self-assurance and self-determination. While she wants the Murcielago (“Murci”), MEDALLION wants the Maserati.
